Muzdalifah is situated in the province of Makkah. It is mostly a flat land and lies between Mina and Arafat. The pilgrims travel from Mina to Arafat on the 9th of Dhu-al-Hajj. They spend the whole day at Arafat and after sunset, they leave for Muzdalifah without offering the Maghreb prayer, all the while reciting Talbiyah. Pilgrims stay at Muzdalifah in open air and combine Maghreb and Ishaa prayer together. Before departing pilgrims say Salatul-Fajir, preferably near Mashar-ul-Haram. One can make personal supplications near Mashar-ul-Haram facing Qibla. Usually the pilgrims collect pebbles for stoning the Jamarah at Muzdalifah. However, the pebbles for Our Prophet (pbuh) were collected by Ibn Abbas (ra) from Mina.
